The Samsung Galaxy M31s is one of the latest mid range smartphones in town and in this write up, i will talk about its price in Nigeria, review and full specifications.
The phone is less than a month old, in the market, yet it has recorded an impressive amount of sales.
And if you’re also considering the product, I can assure you it’s not one of those items which would end up regret buying.
As for people who wonder how this device compares with the M31, the M31 and the M31s are very alike, but the M31s is more impressive in some aspects.
And due to the little superiority the M31s has, the phone is also a bit more expensive.
As the title of this content says, this content is a review of the Galaxy M31s. We’d be providing every important information you’d find worthwhile knowing.
However, before delving into the actual review, we’d first provide a specs and features summary of the phone.
After the specs and features summary of the phone, we’d proceed with providing some info about the price of the device.
Afterwards, we’d jump into the actual review. The review would cover aspects like computing hardware, display, operating system, storage, and camera.
Samsung Galaxy M31s Price in Nigeria
The cost of owning a build of the Galaxy M31s from Samsung is €230 and using a conversion rate of €1 equals N460, N105,800 Naira is how much it cost in Nigeria.
However, while €230 is what you should have to pay for the phone, I’m not saying you wouldn’t find stores selling the product at way more expensive prices. In fact, you actually would, but you should avoid buying from such stores.
Before you buy these smartphone though, you might want to check out other smartphones that are priced at about the same price of 100k Naira. Two of which are Xiaomi phones with great value for money.

From the perspective of the design, the M31s is a phone you’re very unlikely to be disappointed about. I’ve shown the phone to a good number of people, and they all agreed on it being appealing.
While the front of the device features the Corning Gorilla Glass 3, the rear side of the phone features a premium plastic.
The premium plastic used for the phone is actually one of the things contributing to the beauty of the device.
As regards the colours of the product, it is available in mirage black and mirage blue. Even though these colours are not flashy, lovers of flashy things would still find them appealing.
In short, if you have seen the M31, the M31s has a design very similar to that, although slightly more impressive.
The Galaxy M31s is a product targeted at users of mid-range phones. In other words, the computing hardwares of the phone perform as you’d expect from those of a mid-range.
Starting with the chipset of the phone, the device is powered by a chipset known as the Samsung Exynos 9611.
If you’re familiar with Samsung devices, you should already know a few things about this chipset. But for those who understand little or nothing about the chipset, I’d like to state that the chipset houses an octa-core processor.
The processor has four 1.70 GHz Cortex A53 cores which are what ordinarily run. The other four cores are 2.30 GHz Cortex A73 cores which get activated when there are heavy tasks available.
While an octa-core processor is responsible for handling the generic computing tasks of the device, the graphics-related tasks of the device are handled by the Mali-G72 MP3 GPU.
This GPU is popular among cool MediaTek chipsets, so be assured it would deliver impressive performances.
When trying to buy a Galaxy M31s, one of the things you’d have to do, is determine how much RAM you’d like your build to have.
It’s possible to get a build having 6 GB of RAM, and it is also possible to get a build having 8 GB of RAM. And like I always say, 6 GB of RAM would be okay for most smartphone users.
However, if you have more cash to spare, nothing stops you from considering a build featuring 8 GB RAM.
Samsung devices are well-known to come with nice displays, and the M31s meets up with this expectation.
The device comes with a cool super AMOLED display. The super AMOLED display measures 6.50 inches. These days, having a display of not less than 5.70 inches is what matters the most.
But the fact that the phone’s display is as large as 6.50 inches would make many people appreciate Samsung even better.
The display of the M31s is however not just a pretty big super AMOLED display, this display also comes with a high resolution.
Being more elaborate, the resolution of the phone’s display is 1,080 x 2,400 pixels. This resolution leaves the device with a pixel density of 405 PPI.
A pixel density this high is very impressive, and this pixel density is another reason you’re very likely to love the phone’s display.
As regards brightness, you have nothing to worry about. While using the phone outdoor, I had absolutely no problem, without even using the device’s maximum brightness.
Most mid-range devices released of recent are powered by the Android 10 operating system. And if this is what you’re expecting from M31s, I can promise you wouldn’t be disappointed.
The device runs the Android 10 OS. But not only does it run this OS, the device is also one of those which would be upgradable to Android 11, when a stable Android 11 get released.
So if you’ve been thinking of waiting for your next phone, until Android 11 becomes available, you don’t need to wait, if the M31s is what you’d be buying.
However, while the Galaxy truly runs the Android 10 OS, its OS is not the stock Android OS. It’s OS is rather a custom version of the OS. But while I can’t say if this custom version is better, I can say you wouldn’t hate it.
Every build of the Galaxy M31s come with 128 GB of storage. In this present smartphone age, an internal storage of this capacity is more than enough.
You’d install numerous apps and store lots of media files on your phone, before getting the “Storage almost full” notification.
And even when the phone’s storage is almost full, you’re almost certainly going to find lots of things you can delete without issue.
However, while the phone truly comes with a 128 GB storage device, the amount of storage which would be available for your own use would be less than 128 GB.
Some storage space of the phone would be dedicated to the OS, the OS’s swap, pre-installed apps, and a number of things. So expect less than 115 GB to be what’s going to be available for your own use.
As for those who feel a 128 GB storage wouldn’t be enough for them, you have nothing to worry about. The M31s comes with support for micro SD cards. So if you need more storage space, all you have to do, is to get a micro SD card.
The aspect of camera is an aspect you’re guaranteed to appreciate the Galaxy M31s about. The device comes with impressive front and rear cameras. The front camera of the phone is a 32 MP camera.
The camera is the Sony IMX616 which also happens to be a CMOS lens. Thanks to this lens, having 4K video calls should be no problem. I’m further confident selfie lovers would find the lens highly impressive.
As for the rear side of the phone, there are four lenses. The main lens on the rear side is the Sony IMX682 Exmor RS.
This lens is also CMOS lens and it has a resolution of 64 MP. Thanks to this lens, taking highly-impressive 4K videos with the phone, should be no problem.
The second rear camera of the product is a 12 MP camera. This 12 MP lens assists with the wideness of pictures.
First 5 MP rear camera, which is also the third rear camera, has a resolution of 5 MP. The fourth camera is also a 5 MP camera, and its job has to do with helping the phone take macro pictures.
The M31s has nothing special to offer, when compared to some mid-range Samsung devices we already have out there. However, if you love the phone, you should feel free to get it.
As regards its price, I’d say it’s reasonably priced, when compared to other Samsung phones in its category.
However, if I’m to compare it’s price to those of other brands, you shouldn’t consider this product.
But I don’t expect this to come as a surprise, as Samsung devices are well-known to be quite overpriced.
You might want to check my write up about the Galaxy A51 also from Samsung, if you need something more better but still in the mid-range segment.
It’s your turn guys. What do you think about the Samsung Galaxy M31s from its specs, features to price in Nigeria? Well, let me know.
