This bouquet is no longer available and i think you have noticed it too. Among the available packages right now, Confam subscription is the closest in channels and price to what used to be the Family package.
Among all the packages available for subscribers in Nigeria, dstv family seems to appeal to a lot of Nigerians. This might be due to its cheap price and choices of channels available on it right now in 2020.
The family channels comprises of about 121 channels. 111 of them video channels spread across different categories including Life style and culture, entertainment and movies, sport, children, music, news and commerce, documentary, sports etc. The remaining 10 are audio channels.
If you are a sport fan, the family plan might not be the best option for you, you can just close eyes and add 2800 Naira to pay for compact plan. You say why? Well, family does not have super sport channels that shows premier league and UEFA champions league matches.
Compact on the other hand will give you access to all premier league matches and most of champions league.
For News and Commerce, you get access to pretty much most of the channels which include CNN. If you are a fan of Fox News (like me) however, i am sorry to tell you that it isn’t available on this bouquet.
Under our very own local channels, i think it ticks all the major ones from Channels to NTA, AIT and Silverbird.
For Music lovers, the top 3 channels i see most Nigerians (my friends actually) that loves music tune to every now and then are available. I am talking about TRACE Naija, MTV Base and Sound City. I stand corrected though, not really a fan of music maybe Fuji.
Now to the movies and entertainment category which i know everybody cares about, i think you get value for what you are paying for. I mean there may not be Ebony Life Tv and couple of M-Net channels but you got couple of great ones too.
